  One of the giants of the Indian movie and music industries has died. Asha Bhosle, who gave voice to hundreds of movie characters as a Bollywood playback singer, died of cardiac arrest on Sunday, 13 April, at the age of 92. Her voice had an infectious quality that kept fans on their feet, dancing and singing along, ensuring that her music became the soundtrack to generations. While Asha earned her reputation singing the roles of virtuous heroines, she specialized in saucier characters, such as in one of her most famous songs, "Dum Maro Dum." By Bhosle's own estimation, she recorded around 12,000 songs over a career that spanned about eight decades. She even has song some Nepali songs winning the heart of millions of Nepali people.
