Federalism: a failure structure?

Image
Federalism: a failure structure? It is unfortunate to see the federal, provincial and local level governments are being widely criticized for failing to provide essential and basic services to the people. This reflects how the federal structure is failing to effectively working either during the natural or man-made disasters. This shows either the federal government is denying devolving power to the provincial and local governments or these local governments are incapable of carrying out their responsibilities. It does show that if the political and administrative structures of these local level governments are not properly empowered and strengthened with appropriate resources, the nation and people seem to be hitting hard with many problems in the coming days.  Let us take examples of many historical, government infrastructures and residential buildings destroyed by killer earthquake in 2015 are yet to be fully restructured and erected albeit the concerned organizations continue t

TIPS AND TRICKS

TIPS AND TRICKS I am not so sure whether this Tricks does work or not but seems interesting and tempting worth trying it. I have just yesterday tried it, but I am yet to see the result. I thought you would be interested to try this tricks.  Source : The Himalayan Times T ake a stick of  a rose stalk and insert into a potato and look what happens a week later! Amazing! Take the potato and drill in a hole the width of the stalk; make sure the stalk doesn’t wobble within the hole. Cover the bottom of the pot with 5 centimeters of potting soil, and place the potato on top. Fill the rest of the pot with potting soil. Cut off the bottom of your plastic bottle and carefully place it over the stalk sticking out of the soil. Occasionally water the rose (around the bottle) and watch how your roses grow like never before!   First process is to take a stalk of rose and insert it into potato and plant it in the ground.           Second process is to make sure that the rose stalk is gradually

Nepali Congress’ dubious role

Nepali Congress’ dubious role Politically, the year 2077 was not favourable for the ruling party, the then Nepali Communist Party (NCP), even being almost two-third majority party, due to the undemocratic, irresponsible and insensible political acts of its senior leaders, thus pushing the nation towards political uncertainty. The Supreme Court’s (SC) decision to nullify its unification compelled both the then UML and the then Maoist-Centre to virtually split which, in fact, were never merged in reality because of their different political ideologies and principles.  On the other hand, the Nepali Congress (NC) failed to carry out its opposition role both in the House and in the streets for addressing the national and people’s issues and concerns. In fact, the people had voted it to play an opposition role so that the two-third majority powerful communist government would not be deviated from its constitutional responsibilities. It did not happen. Instead, it acted as a coalition par

Russian vaccine Sputnik V COVID-19 to enter Nepal soon It was wonderful to know that Nepal government has given conditional approval on Tuesday for the emergency use of the Russian Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine, an official of the drug regulator said, as the country recorded the highest daily increase of infections in four months.   Nepal began is vaccination campaign in January with AstraZeneca vaccines provided by India but suspended it last month following lack of supply. "Conditional permission has been granted for emergency use authorization of Russia's Sputnik V in Nepal," Santosh K.C, a senior official in the Department of Drug Administration, told Reuters. Yechuri’s formula

Image
The Kathmandu Post 4 March 2010 Yechuri’s formula The recent visit of Sitaram Yechury indicates that Nepali politicians are incapable of sorting out their problems (“Leaders line up to meet Yechury” March 2, Page 4). It was both surprising and saddening to know that Yechuri was invited by both the president and the prime minister to give fresh impetus to the peace process and statute drafting .     Late Girija Pd Koirala with Sitaram Yechuri   Former PM Pushpa K, Dahal with Sitaram Yechuri   Prime Minister Oli with Sitaram Yeshuri       The volatile situation of the country demands coordinated and collaborative effort by all the responsible political parties. Eliminating any one party from running the government should not be the priority at this moment. If all the stakeholders of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) are sincere and committed towards the CPA, we would need no Yechuris. Rai Biren Bangdel Maharajgunj, Kathmandu

Miracle happens if positive affirmation taken seriously

Image
Miracle happens if positive affirmation taken seriously I have taken the following from a book “YOU CAN HEAL YOUR LIFE” authored by LOUSE L. HAY. She strongly opines that “All disease comes from a State of Unforgiveness.” She further says that whenever we are ill, we need to search our hearts to see who it is we need to forgive. But, we do not know HOW to forgive. It is very simple: all we need to do is to be WILLING to forgive. The Universe will take care of the hows.   I was suffering from high blood pressure for a number of years and taking medicines as suggested by my doctor. But, after practicing Louse’s positive affirmation process, I have been able to reduce my usual medicine dose and maintain blood pressure to its favourable level. I will continue sharing my experience on my successful effort to maintain my age related health problem chasing away blood sugar problem, prostate problem and sleeping disorders and many more others. Cheers to me.   PROBLEM
