Indecisiveness

Image
The Himalayan Times 12 October 2012 The frequent changes of minds of the senior political leaders with regard to CA revival or going for the fresh election clearly depict their indecisiveness and restlessness. It seems that they have put themselves in a political ditch that does not seem for them to easily come out. They have put the nation in a very difficult situation due to their petty political interests. If the current unstable situation continues to prevail, the nation may plunge into deep constitutional vacuum inviting political, social and economic chaos. And, if this situation befalls on Nepal , there will be no immediate way out to resolve the crisis besides foreign interventions. What happens then after to New Nepal is beyond anybody’s imagination. There is no way out for the major political parties at this time except to forge consensus on contentious national issues and move ahead in accordance with the need of the hour. The Himalayan Times 5 October 2012 One should not get surprised if the political parties, who were in the dead CA, failed to forge a consensus within the next two weeks as reported in “Parties failing to do what they got to do” (THT, Oct.3, Page 1). They do not seem serious and feel any pressure on resolving the political and constitutional crisis so soon. They are interested in their own petty political interest. Who is to lead the next government have been their priority agenda rather than concentrating their effort on resolving the outstanding political problems. None of the major political parties want to loosen their stands for claiming the PM’s chair. The coalition partners continue to claim that unless there

False promises

I don't think that these irresponsible and self-centered political leaders will come to a consensus within the next two weeks as promised while having meeting with the President who also seems does not have the guts to boldly act. Why can't he set the deadline for the political parties to resolve their political differences? Time is running fast for him also to swiftly act rather than letting the parties go undecided. It seems to me that the people are getting restless with the on-going political uncertainty and come out to the streets any time if anybody is ready to lead them. What you say? on line jobs
