What a Shame?

What a shame it was when Shishil Koirala was nearly beaten by his own political activist yesterday. A few months ago, Jhalanath Khanal was shamefully slapped by his follower. It indicates that their own followers do not seem happy with their political performances. Same thing had happened to Prachanda and Baburam. Now, only the people seem still bearing with them. I am not so sure as to how long the people would spare them. Let us hope that they timely realize their immoral and irresponsible activities and start behaving well so that the people don't have to raise their hands. What you say?   on line jobs

Democracy

What I know about democracy? To me, there are four characteristics in it, meritocracy, sincerity, transparency and accountability. Do we find these four core characteristics in our democracy? I don’t think so. All the so called big leaders of so called major political parties are not true democrats since they don’t possess any one of these four characteristics. One way or the other they are autocrats who wanted and want to impose their political monopoly on the people in the name of Loktantra. Unless majority of the Nepali people become aware of their sovereignty rights, they continue to be the political slaves of these political leaders. I hope the days are not so far away. Not CA election

The coming election should be of parliamentary election and this should be our election to teach lessons to the irresponsible and corrupt leaders. All the eligible voters should be vigilant and ensure that these disgusting political leaders are voted out. Do not let these incompetent leaders deceive us. They have badly deceived us and made us their ladders to ascend to their political helm and make us their political slaves. Do not make any blunder by picking up the same old rotten faces. Emancipation

Dear President As you are aware with the fact that the major political parties have completely failed to give New Constitution during the last four years as mandated by the sovereign people of Nepal . They have now started flexing their political muscle to claim for the PM's chair instead of coming to a consensus for the formations of a national government and creating a conducive political environment for holding fresh election. May be, the time has come for you to be the real guardian of the Interim Constitution and the nation and play the decisive role to emancipate the nation from the on going political and constitutional uncertainty. Why don’t you form a national government, in consultation with all the political parties, comprising non political intellectuals and professionals to be lead by among the former judges, giving them the responsibilities of holding fresh parliamentary election and run the government until the legitimately elected government is formed? This ne...

Pray to Lord Pashupatinath

May the Lord Pashupatinath bless our so called senior leaders with full of moral responsibilities and sincerity towards the nation and its people who are desperate to see long lasting peace and stable political situation in the country. If not, they (leaders) are about to loose Janaandolan II achievements and push the nation towards political, social and cultural confrontation which can be disastrous to Nepal . Time for statesmanship

The Himalayan Times  24 September 2012 I am not so sure whether our so called senior political leaders feel something different when they are repeatedly told by the visiting dignitaries to show their statesmanship. This is to refer the news report “Blake urges Nepali leaders to show statesmanship” (THT, Sept. 12, Page 5). I am also, so far, not aware of their responses to such remarks. Because, this is not the first time a visiting dignitary suggesting our political leaders to show statesmanship by putting aside their political differences for the sake of ending transitional phase in the country at the earliest possible. Don’t they feel humiliated with such suggestions? Do they need to be told to do this and that by the outsiders? Don’t they realize that they really lack political sincerity, political commitment and political accountability to be real political leaders to lead the nation towards stable peace and prosperity? Delisting UCPN-M from terrorist exchange lis...

MAKE IT IMPLEMENTED

It was very satisfying news report to read (“PM’s bid to promote domestic products” 12 Sept, Page Money) with regard to the government’s plan to make the government entities to purchase local goods. What could be more appreciable and encouraging news than this when the nation is experiencing trade deficits with almost all the countries wherever Nepal exports its products?   During late 1970/80, Indian government had made such mandatory for all its organizations and even for the private organizations to use home grown products. It remained to be very successful drive resulting to boost the country’s economy. In fact, the previous governments had also made similar announcement but unfortunately could not be materialized. Even, this is not the first time for Dr. Baburam Bhattarai who, as a Finance Minister, had announced during his budget speech to develop Hetauda text tile mills to produce textiles for Nepal Police, Armed Police and Nepali Army. Likewise, he had made mandat...
