  Mayer Balendra Shah at the Cannes festival, Paris. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah, popularly known as Balen, attended the renowned Cannes Film Festival in France. Accompanied by his management advisor, Kumar Byanjankar, and infrastructure advisor, Sunil Lamsal, the mayor departed for France on Monday evening. Mayor Shah received a personal invitation from Cannes Mayor David Lisnard and will be spending three days at the festival. During his stay, he will participate in various programs, including a meeting with Mayor Lisnard and the festival director, as well as attend the festival’s red carpet and premiere. It was wonderful to see him in black Kurta Suruwal and Bhadgaule Topi among the other world renowned celebrities in the red carpet. He is the first South Asian personnel being invited to attend world famous and prestigious platform.

Soulful tribute to Bhakta Raj Acharya Bhakta Raj Acharya, well-known as Bhajan Shiromani, one of my favourite singer, passed away at the age of 82 years leaving behind his voice to about popular 400 songs in the midst of Nepali musical industry. He was much popular among the public who gave a new height to the traditional hymns. He made an extraordinary contribution to spread the importance of devotional songs.   This is a moment of grief and an irreplaceable loss to our musical industry.  I pray to Lord for letting his departed soul rest in peace in his heavenly abode. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family members. 🙏🙏
