Which one is the taller?

  Which one is the taller? I saw this satirical picture in a social media, whoever designed it, must have creative mind. Is not it interesting to see the right side tower higher than the left side real tower? Can we imagine such level and volume of corruption scams in the Federal Republic Nepal where senior leaders of big political parties never get tired of talking about good governance, “Samridh Nepal and Sukhi Nepali”? It remains to be seen whether corrupts involved in these scams will be brought into justice and lawfully punished in the existing federal structure. Can we expect such miracle from the existing political structure and leaders?

A gifted popular flutist- Nagendra Rai

A gifted popular flutist Nagendra Rai is a popular flute player in the Nepali music world. A Khotang-born Rai was fascinated by the flute when he was a child. But he never imagined that he would become a flutist in his professional life.   Rai, who started studying flute playing after passing SLC in 2059 BS has played flute in more than 23,000 songs to date. He was interested in flute since his childhood. He started playing flute in the year 2060 BS, which ultimately became his professional career.   He has been playing flute for almost two decades now. The flute is a very popular musical instrument. He was born to be a musician, a flutist.

King’s recent visit to Bhutan-many speculations

  King’s recent visit to Bhutan-many speculations Invited by the Bhutanese royal family, His Majesty King Gyanendra Birendra Bir Bikram Shah travelled to Bhutan on 3 rd October with family members and returned to Nepal on 6 th October.              His Majesty’s visit, at the invitation of Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk, has set off speculation about moves to make Nepal a constitutional monarchy . Although it is stated to be a private visit, some political analysts, however, opined that the King’s trip to Bhutan could have some political implications in the national politics in the days to come.  It remains to be seen whether this visit was simply a private or many more than private.  

Many congratulations Dawa Yangzum

Dawa Yangzum Sherpa, a 33-year-old woman climber successfully scaled Mt Shishapangma in Tibet this morning, becoming the first Nepali female to successfully climb all 14 peaks above 8,000m. She has now become the first Nepali woman climber to complete all 14 peaks after scaling Mt Shishapangma.    Born in Rolwaling valley of Dolakha district, Dawa Yangzum was on a mission to complete all 14 peaks which she did after successfully ascending Mt Shihspangma. She is the youngest K2 summiteer and also the first Nepali woman to have climbed Annapurna I without using oxygen. She also made the first ever ascent of Mt Langdung. She was the first woman to reach Manaslu true summit in autumn season and has received many awards including Kumar Khadga Bikram Sahasik Puruskar and Tenzing Hillary Award. She had successfully climbed Mt Everest in 2012 as her first 8,000er.
