The next political course: political reconciliation among Loktantrabadi, Rastrabadi and Rajabadi

Sudden dissolution of Federal Parliament two days ago was the end result of the Nepal Communist Party’s internal feud which was going on for the last eight/nine months. It was especially between the two factions, one led by PM Oli and the other by Prachand-Nepal faction. This never ending internal political feud was nothing but simply political power sharing tussle between the two chairs which had completely undermined and over-shadowed the burning issues of the country and hardships faced by the general public during the corona pandemic.

We have seen and experienced all the political trail and experiments during the last several decades especially since 2062/63 Jan Andolan onwards. The people seem to have now realized that they were deceived by the then seven party alliance and Maoist force asking them to come out to the streets for new political change. Political analysts continue to opine that that the so-called 12 point agreement between the seven party alliance and Maoist Force and Jan Andolan was nothing but a political ploy of external forces to destabilize the nation. The people were not given to use their sovereign rights for or against making Nepal a republic state, retention of monarchism and converting Nepal into a secular state.

The people have, in the recent past days, started expressing their frustrations out in the different major cities chanting anti-government and anti-republican system. It was simply the outcome of the sloppy governance and negligence of the government towards the plight of the general public.

It seems that time has now come for the major political forces to be serious towards taking a bold but corrective steps to be taken to  lead the country towards long lasting peace and prosperity. This means that the three forces of the country; one is the political forces, the nationalist groups and the other, pro-royalist groups should join hands by doing political reconciliation. all these forces should now be sincere and repent their past political mistakes to the sovereign people to convince them that Nepal would move ahead with new political dynamism for making Nepal a peaceful and prosperous nation.

If not, I see, as a senior citizen and a non-badi person, a bleak future of Nepal and its people in the days ahead.

2083/84 budget at a glance

2083/84 budget at a glance The Balen led government , which is almost two-thirds majority government secured in the March 2026 elections , has announced its annual budget 2,124.34 billion on May 29, 2026, as the largest budget in Nepal's history, representing a 25.2 present increase over the revised estimates of the current fiscal year 2082/83.  Most of the financial experts and economic analysts opine that this budget, although optimistic, has broadly, boldly and wisely covered key and major aspects of the national all round development.
