Instigating the people to come out in the streets?

Instigating the people to come out in the streets?

It seems these days that there is nothing for the common people to concern about besides listening, watching and reading about the NCP’s two factions’ senior leaders blaming each other for the on-going political fiasco and claiming the rightful ownership of party’s symbol and flag. PM Oli continues to defend his decision of dissolution of HoR on one side and Prachanda-Madhal Nepal faction, on the other hand, continue to be more aggressive blaming Oli for his decision. They claim that his move was unconstitutional and against the will of the people. The people are in dilemma and wondering which faction is right and puzzled to see the main opposition NC, so-called civil society members, artists and other groups out in the streets protesting against the HoR dissolution.

Unless the Supreme Court gives its final verdict, does it make any sense to both the factions, the main opposition, NC and other fringe parties and groups protesting out in the streets for and against the HoR dissolution ? If not, whatever it could the reasons for Oli to take such an abrupt decision, time has come for the sovereign people either to go along with the Oli faction and participate in the elections or throw out the government from the streets and form an apolitical government with a clear mandate of revisiting the constitution and amend it if necessary as per the wish of the people.

If they wish to go for the elections, then the existing electoral system seems to be changed to ensure that corrupt politicians, contractors, thugs, murderers, mafias would not be eligible to participate in the election. Also, another provision should be made for the elected representatives not to be allowed to hold any ministerial positions except the Prime Minister besides formulating and enacting laws and acts as needed for the well-being of the nation and its people. This will tremendously reduce the election costs and save the nation from further political instability.

2083/84 budget at a glance The Balen led government , which is almost two-thirds majority government secured in the March 2026 elections , has announced its annual budget 2,124.34 billion on May 29, 2026, as the largest budget in Nepal's history, representing a 25.2 present increase over the revised estimates of the current fiscal year 2082/83.  Most of the financial experts and economic analysts opine that this budget, although optimistic, has broadly, boldly and wisely covered key and major aspects of the national all round development.
