Kudos to Dr. Jasmita
Dr Jasmita Balampaki working in District Hospital, Bajura, has been saving the lives of pregnant women and new mothers in the district. She has been offering emergency delivery service to women in the hospital for the last eight months. So far, she has carried out 28 surgeries successfully in the hospital.
NIS-Nick Simons Institute had sent Dr Jasmita to the district hospital in coordination with the health ministry. The women felt relieved when Dr Jasmita reached the hospital. The women were hesitant to visit male doctors and could not talk about their health issues openly. Now, they are openly sharing their problems in front of the female doctor. NEPALI POLITICS
Not only emergency service, but also the OPD service at the district hospital has become more effective with the arrival of Dr Jasmita. The hospital administration said women who had been suffering from chronic diseases for many years, have also started coming to the hospital for treatment.
