Are we living under the rule of fools?

I am not so sure whether this political quote fits to our political system and culture. But, it seems to me that the voters and common people of this 21st century are becoming more politically literate and have started raising their voices against their leaders and the existing political structure. Considering the level of people's frustration towards the existing political structure, they do not want to be ruled anymore by any irresponsible, corrupt and anti-nationalist leaders.
