The Himalayan Times 11 November 2021 Unmanaged republic Nepal seems to be heading towards unmanageable republic state when closely looking at its weakening executive, legislative and judiciary branches of the universally accepted norms of democracy. It has been practicing one way or the other form of democratic for the last three decades since multiparty democracy was established following the promulgation of the 1990 constitution.   Many congratulations It was wonderful to know that Mr.Himalaya Shumsher Rana, the founder of the first private bank of Nepal --Himalayan Bank Limited, has been conferred with the title of The Order of Japan (The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star) in recognition of his outstanding contribution.   Mr. Rana was one of the recipients of the 2021 Autumn Imperial Decorations which was announced by Government of Japan on Wednesday. He is an economist and founder of the Himalayan Bank as well as Gorkha Brewery. The quota system being applied by and among the political parties while appointing judges including the Chief Justice (CJ) in the SC, is an open secret. This malpractice being applied in their appointment continues to raise questions about the relevancy and fairness of their verdicts, which have been gradually discrediting the supremacy of justice. Disclose the five-point deal Recently, Hemant Sedai had disclosed the five-point deal signed between the King Gyanendra and the then seven-party alliance on BS 2063, Baisakh 11, in a YouTube channel. Since then, a number of talk programmes about the five-point deal can be seen in the various YouTube channels.   Until now, except Baburam Bhattarai, none of the signatories of the five-point deal have publicly either rejected it or accepted it. Looking at the elements of the five-point deal, the then seven-party alliance had unbelievably and irresponsibly deceived the people and continues to deceive them  not disclosing it to the people until today . Also, it was surprising to see even the King Gyanendra has not publicly disclosed it. Shocking news about senior leaders While celebrating Dashai, a friend of mine suggested me to watch this YouTube. I was totally disturbed and shocked to know about the irresponsible, corrupt and anti-nationalistic acts of our senior leaders of major political parties. If you have not watched it, please do so.
